2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee

In a world where SUVs rule the Earth, an SUV that continues to be a highly awarded SUV is the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Grand Cherokee was one of the first SUVs to have the same ride day in and day out as it does out in the desert. One thing to notice about the Grand Cherokee is that its current generations has been longstanding since 2010 with small updates along the way and yet remains a relevant and appealing vehicle to purchase. A lot of its appeal lies in its ability to be tailored to the needs of its owners with the option to choose from 12 different trim levels. The base Laredo boasts all the Grand Cherokee’s capabilities on and off the road at a great price (Starting at $34,000 MSRP). On the other hand, the Grand Cherokee has an upscale trim known as Summit, which coddles the car’s passengers with a luxurious interior. Regardless of the Grand Cherokee you choose, know that it is one of the most competent SUVs capable of any challenge on or off the road.

Depending on the trim level you step into, the Grand Cherokee’s cabin either provides a rugged feel or luxury. Inside of the cabin you’ll find a contoured dashboard with an infotainment touch screen for all your vehicle controls right at your fingertips. The designers at Jeep also made sure to think of where to add soft touch materials and leather where it counted. You’ll find these materials on armrests, upper door panels, and the dashboard. The Grand Cherokee also thrives with its cargo capability. Based on a test by Car and Driver, they were able to fit 11 carry-on cases behind its second row of seats, and a total of 24 with the rear seat stowed. All in all, the interior of the Jeep Grand Cherokee is all about you. It’s available in several premium finishes, luxurious wood trim and first-rate comfort and functionality.

Premium Leather Seats

On the outside and in the engine bay, the Grand Cherokee is all about dominance. Simple luxury is hard to come by in vehicles, but this SUV achieves that effortlessly. The Grand Cherokee now offers a new Premium Lighting Group available on the Laredo, Limited and Trail Hawk models. This feature includes bi-xenon HID headlamps, daytime running lights, LED fog lamps, and auto high-beam headlamps. There are also new wheel designs available for the High Altitude model. The Active Safety Group – which includes forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, lane keep assist, and automated high-beams is now available in the Laredo trim. As far as wheel options, the Grand Cherokee comes with 17-inch wheels with the option to upgrade all the way to 20-inch wheels. If you enjoy views from your car, note that you can upgrade into a panoramic moon-roof to have a full view of the sky.

Premium Wheel Options

When Considering engines, the Grand Cherokee comes standard with a V-6 but you do have the option of adding a V-8 on Limited trims and above. The V-6 not only pulls strongly at 6,200 lbs. it also transmits very little vibration into the car’s cabin with its 295 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft of torque. If you wish to push its usefulness up a notch, then upgrade to the V-8 for an extra 1,000 pounds of towing capacity, 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft of torque. You’ll be surprised to learn that compared to SUV standards; the Grand Cherokee is very fuel efficient. We’ll have you know that the Grand Cherokee produces up to 19 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway.
